Brian graduated from Northern Michigan University in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan with a Bachelor of Science degree in English Creative Writing, and minors in Philosophy and Conservation. That summer he began writing local sports for a penny shopper newspaper. Mr. Holmes has continued to work as a proofreader, copy editor, editor, educational writer and technical writer.
